Lovin’ on Lynda ~ Metastatic Breast Cancer #LIFER

Lynda (Ropolewski) Kurdziel, 47 was diagnosed with Stage II B invasive ductal carcinoma. She received this news in October 2008, at age 40 after her first mammogram. After a mastectomy and numerous treatments of radiation and chemotherapy over time, she was cancer free for almost six years.

Lynda has now been diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. Metastatic cancer is a cancer that has spread from the part of the body it originated, to other parts of her body. Unfortunately, this type of cancer is incurable, and the awareness of this type of cancer is almost non-existent. Lynda continues to have chronic pain, as she has regular treatments, chemo, estrogen blocker shots, etc.

She said she’s “up for the fight”. This “fight” is for life, literally, AND for the rest of her LIFE.
