He wore Rose colored glasses and sported a beard,
\ndressed in flashy colors, wherever he appeared,
\nHis voice was strong & clear, His influence unique,
\nA knack for pleasing people, his character was meek,
\nHe wrote hit after hit, and set the standards high,
\nHe’d sing and make ya happy or sing and make you cry,
\nHis accolades were many, His legacy lives on,
\nWe sure miss you brother, and can’t believe you’re gone.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s how I picture, That friend of mine,
\nUp on the bandstand, Most of the time,
\nHe loved his music, He loved his friends,
\nIf just to meet him one more time again,
\nIf just to meet him one more time again.<\/p>\n

Now we each can envision, our friend much well-known,
\nBut your visions may differ, slightly from my own,
\nPopular for decades, While traveling around,
\nTouching many hearts, In cities and small towns,
\nHe wore Rose colored glasses but just for awhile,
\nDressed in flashy colors and always wore a smile,
\nA talent that was huge, A legend in his time
\nI still get that chill running up and down my spine.<\/p>\n
