About The Festival

The Chmielewski Funtime Family Band began the first international Polka Festival in 1978 at the Pine County Fair Grounds In Pine City, MN 36 years ago. Since then, other venues over the past 30 years included: (1) Metropolitan Sports Center- Bloomington, MN, (2) Quadna Mountain Resort- Hill City, MN (3) Ironworld U.S.A.- Chisholm, MN (4) Grandma’s Saloon and Gril- Duluth, MN (5) Ironworld Discovery Center- Chisholm, MN (6) Black Bear Casino and Resort- Carlton, MN.
